Craving ChangeTM
Created by Registered Dietitian Wendy Shah & Clinical Psychologist Dr. Colleen Cannon, Craving Change® is a cognitive-behavioural program designed to tackle problematic eating & to help individuals develop a healthier relationship with food. Individuals who take the Craving Change® course will discover reasons for eating the way they do & learn to take steps to change their problematic eating habits.
Please note – this program will NOT explore diets, what to eat, when to eat or how much to eat & will not discuss diabetes management or diabetes medications.
Our outreach Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Educator who is also a Certified Craving Change® facilitator is currently offering this FREE program virtually via a platform called Microsoft Teams. Access to a computer with audio & visual capabilities is ideal but not required. Priority will be given to those individuals currently enrolled in a medical bariatric program as well as for individuals with diabetes. For those interested in pursuing bariatric surgery, completing Craving Change® is strongly recommended.
The Huron Perth Diabetes Program will be offering Craving Change® on the following date for 2024. Please note, these dates/times are subject to change:
Thursday December 5, 2024 from 9:00 am- 12:00 pm
At this time, we are unable to offer the program after 4:00 pm. Please check with your primary care provider to see if any other Craving Change® programs are being offered in your area.
