Each of our locations is staffed by Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE). A Certified Diabetes Educator is a health professional, committed to excellence in diabetes education who has a sound knowledge base in diabetes management & educator processes through successful completion of the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board exam.

Registered Dietitians – Registered Dietitians help you understand how food affects your diabetes. Dietitians also have the knowledge & tools to help you manage cholesterol, blood pressure, weight & many other health conditions/concerns.

Registered Nurses – Registered Nurses help you live well with diabetes by teaching you about different medications, proper blood sugar monitoring & importance of proper foot care. Registered Nurses will also closely monitor your blood pressure & cholesterol.

Endocrinologist or Internist – Endocrinologists/Internists are doctors who specialize in the diagnosis & medical treatment of adults with diabetes or other health conditions. An Endocrinologist or Internist can only be accessed through a referral from a physician or nurse practitioner.
