Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 medium cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup lower-sodium teriyaki sauce
  • Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons sesame oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 4 cups broccoli in a single layer; cook, undisturbed, until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add 2 tablespoons water and immediately cover the skillet with a lid. Cook, undisturbed, until the water evaporates and the broccoli is tender, about 2 minutes.
  3. Uncover and stir in the minced garlic; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in ¼ cup teriyaki sauce. Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
